Kunming

We got into Kunming and checked into the Camellia Hotel. It was a “budget choice” at 180 yuan for a double (plus backpacker dorms at 30), but the lobby was marble floors, with bellmen, English-speaking reception staff and a beautiful atrium with plants and a bar.
We did a quick walk around town for our typical restaurant tour, stopped at the Holiday Inn for some cold wine and found Wei’s Pizzeria. Wei’s was run by a Dutch man and had cold wine, pizza, lasagna and lots of Westerners crowding in.
