We took care of all the details to piece together our trip to Syria and Lebanon. What a hassle- since neither Syria or Lebanon will allow you into the country with an Israeli stamp- or a stamp from a land border crossing in Jordan, we’re forced into a flight into Amman (even though we’re less than 50 miles away from Amman). $200 later and we have our flight for tomorrow morning.
After all this time, we were finally shamed into having lunch with Baruch and his wife. We drove into Tel Aviv and met at Aladdin in Jaffa. An interesting lunch. Baruch is quite a talker and has very definitive opinions about almost everything.
Facing a 3:00 am start in the morning, we opted for “Yellows” from our landlords sandwich store and got to bed early.
