A driving day- around the Kinessett and the expensive tourist hotels. Then we went to the American Colony Hotel to get some information on travel to Syria. Not an easy task. Since there can be no evidence of an Israel stamp in your passport, we couldn’t get a Jordanian visa in Tel Aviv. The border crossing at Allenby Bridge doesn’t issue visas- so the only way to get into Jordan is via air (although the border is only about 40 km away).
We continued our drive through the Mount of Olives- St Stephens Church, Garden of Gethsemane and the Jewish cemetery.

An early evening- a bit of wine and home cooked spaghetti on the hot plate.
