An early morning start to the hydrofoil from Karatkoy to the train station. The express train was a bit of a disappointment. Expecting luxury (for our $12 ticket), we got a nice train with basic service. Express is not exactly the term- with stops at many interim cities, but it was a wonderful way to cross the country.
We arrived in Ankara, found our hotel and immediately headed for our sunset views at one of the restaurants in the Hisar. It was quite an experience. The restaurant was definitely a local business spot- filled with young and old Ankaran business people- both men and women (most talking on their cell phones while eating their dinners).
